Splash Zone: Aldine ISD Swimmers shine in District 14-6A Meet
At the end of January, Aldine ISD's best swimmers took to the pool to try and punch their tickets to the Region IV Championships at the District 15-6A Championships. When the scores were all compiled MacArthur women's swimming team took second place overall, led by Carmen Pedraza, Gissele Rodriguez, and Georgina Aguinaga. The Nimitz women's team took fourth, guided by Bailey Johnson. Aldine Davis men took third place overall โ led by strong relay teams โ while Eisenhower men finished fourth. Big IKE has been on a big roll of late. The Eagles are winners of three of their last four games, including beating Aldine Davis in overtime, 68-62, on January 19. It was a big come-from-behind win for Eisenhower against a very good Davis squad. With five games left on the slate for the 2020-2021 season, the Eagles currently sit in fifth place. Aldine ISD Coaches Show: Eisenhower football's Eric Jackson
Eisenhower is in the playoffs for the first time since 2018 and the Eagles are seeking their first playoff win since 2015 as they face Oak Ridge this week in the Bi-District round. VYPE Media's Joshua Koch and Matt Malatesta caught up with Eisenhower head football coach Eric Jackson.
