Here’s what the last day of early voting looks like across Harris County
HOUSTON – Friday is the last day of early voting in Texas and people across Harris County have been heading to the polls. “Nearly 1.4 million registered voters have already come out and made their voices heard in Harris County," Harris County Clerk Chris Hollins said. KPRC 2 reporter Cathy Hernandez was out at Victory Worship Center in North Harris County to speak with people voting overnight. Voters urged people to get out and make their voice heard and called Harris County an example of what it looks like to make voting accessible to everyone. Among those heading out this morning was Harris County Clerk Chris Hollins, who made the occasion a family affair.

Young fan meets hero, Carlos Correa, following KPRC 2 story
HOUSTON - Thanks to a KPRC 2 news story, Astros star Carlos Correa was able to chat with a young baseball player from Puerto Rico. Luis Morales, 15, and his dad traveled from Puerto Rico to New York to watch Correa play at Yankee Stadium in Game 4 of the ALCS. 1 like Correa, is from the same town as the Astros player and even has the same trainer. President Ricky Flores, with the Correa Family Foundation, saw KPRC 2 reporter Cathy Hernandez's post on social media and got to work arranging a meeting. Correa called Luis in Puerto Rico on FaceTime and the two talked about baseball training.
'Jockstrap Rap': This is the Astros rap song everyone will be playing
HOUSTON - The Houston Astros are inspiring the city again and that includes the musical among us. KPRC 2's Cathy Hernandez uncovered a musical gem celebrating the Astros. It's called "Jockstrap Rap," and we have to say, it's incredibly catchy. The song by Tom Fooliry on YouTube already has hundreds of views, and KPRC viewers have been asking for us to play it again.
