CONROE, Texas – A worker was killed after a crane collapsed in Conroe.
Conroe police said the accident happened on Interstate 45 near Highway 242 about 10 a.m. Thursday.

Construction crews are rebuilding a Garden Ridge Pottery store that was destroyed in a massive fire in October. That fire was ruled arson.
The crane was hoisting a wall of the store when the accident happened, police said.
Police said the man's body was trapped under the crane. His name has not been released.
The cause of the crane collapse is under investigation. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is involved.
The company operating the crane, Big Four Erectors, declined to comment.
