HOUSTON – Things are about to get a whole lot easier for travelers who need to park and then fly out of the Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Airport officials on Monday announced some changes to the parking shuttle routes, which are expected to create a better passenger experience, according to a news release.

People using ecopark, ecopark2 and other off-airport parking lots should be able to save some time with the new system.

The Houston Airport System has modified shuttle routes to and from the parking area. Shuttles now will pick up and drop off passengers exclusively at designated locations at each terminal, officials said.

Signage in each terminal will help direct travelers to the locations. Shuttle passengers will be dropped off in the arrivals (baggage) areas for terminals A, B and C, and in the departures areas for terminals D and E.

The new shuttle bus routes cut the miles traveled by the shuttles per trip nearly in half, and cut the projected time per shuttle trip from more than 20 minutes to nearly 10 minutes for terminals A/B, and from 25 minutes to 18 for terminals C/D/E, the news release said.
