The Burnet Middle School principal was taken Travis County Jail, but police will eventually transfer him.
The district placed Dean on administrative leave without pay, and said they have no reason to believe Austin ISD students were involved.
In a statement, the office of the superintendent said:
"Austin ISD takes this situation very seriously, and we are committed to keeping you informed about this case within the limits of the investigation."
We’re told officials will hold a meeting at the middle school Tuesday to inform parents about the case.
