HOUSTON – Two hundred fifty students from all over Texas will compete in a technology 'hack-a-thon' at the University of Houston.
The event, called CodeRED lets students compete in creating new technology, from apps to websites. The entire competition lasts 24 hours, starting Friday night at 7 p.m at the UH Classroom and Business Building on Calhoun Road.

CodeRED is part of Major League Hacking, which organizes over 100 students hack-a-thons across North America and Europe.
