HOUSTON – A Sprint store was broken into around 4:30 a.m. Monday on the North Loop West near Ella Boulevard in northwest Houston.
Police say the intruders used a neighboring space that is unoccupied to get inside. It is not clear how the thief or thieves got inside the unoccupied space, but once they did it looks like they just kicked out drywall and made their way to the Sprint store on the other side.
Just a few hours later, repairs were underway to fix the damaged wall.
The space next to the Sprint store has been unoccupied and available for lease since the shopping center opened last summer.
Houston police say the intruders got away with several items, but store managers would not say exactly what was missing or if any cash was stolen.
Houston police will use security cameras in the parking lot and several inside the Sprint store to determine who was responsible for the break-in.
