HOUSTON – An old landmark in the Houston area is receiving a new name.
The 2,000 acre boy scout camp known for decades as Camp Strake will now be called Grand Central Park.

The Johnson Development Corp purchased the property in 2013 from the Sam Houston Area Council Boy Scouts of America.
The group says the new logo is symbolic of its goal to create a distinctive forest living experience with a decidedly urban feel.
