Tips from HCSO mobile app lead to arrests in 2 drug cases

HOUSTON – Several tips to the iWatchHarrisCounty mobile app led to arrests in two separate drug cases, said the Harris County Sheriff's Office. 

The first arrest happened at 19800 Atascocita Shores Drive in Humble.

Deputies said they recovered drugs valued at about $19,000 and drug paraphernalia like scales, ledgers and packaging materials inside an apartment there.

Cory Miller, 22, was arrested in this case for possession of marijuana with a deadly weapon enhancement, according to deputies. They also issued a warrant for a second person. 

HCSO said it was also alerted to drug activity at a house in the 7200 block of Skylight Lane in northwest Harris County via the iWatch app.

According to HCSO, deputies found marijuana, scales, drug ledgers, and a gun reported stolen in 2001.

Deputies said they arrested four people in connection with the case:

  • Justin Brown, 26, was charged with possession with intent to deliver with a deadly weapon enhancement.  
  • Brandon Brown, 20, was charged with possession of marijuana.
  • Amber Rios, 26, was arrested for a felony theft warrant.
  • Chasse Brown, 30, was arrested for driving without a license with prior conviction and two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
