HOUSTON – Charles Worthington has been charged with theft of a animal after he allegedly stole a goat.
Houston police spokesman John Cannon said the goat was reported stolen Monday evening from Herkimer and 15th Street in the Heights. Cannon said he could not say why Worthington stole the goat or what became of the animal.

Worthington is being held in the Harris County Jail on a $2,000 bond. He is due in court on Thursday to have an attorney assigned.
Court records show Worthington has a previous conviction in 2014 for the theft of three drill bits. He was given 20 days in jail after pleading guilty, according to court records.
