HOUSTON – A man is dead after a multi-car accident in the Meyerland area.
According to police, the driver of a gray Cadillac Fleetwood was traveling eastbound in the 5400 block of South Braeswood and failed to control his speed. The Cadillac struck the rear of a blue Ford Explorer stopped at a red light at the intersection of Chimney Rock, then struck a blue Chevrolet Cruz stopped at the same red light.

The Cadillac also struck a gray Mercedes traveling southbound through the intersection.
The 70-year-old driver of the Cadillac was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he died. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Investigators believe he may have suffered a medical issue prior to the accident.
The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured.
