HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating after a parking lot brawl turned deadly.
Officers say shortly after 8pm Thursday a large group of people were gathered in the Case Miranda apartments in the 12200 block of Fondren and West Airport.

According to the Houston Police Department, a fight broke out soon after.
A man tried to get in the middle of the fight to stop it, but he was shot and died in the parking lot.
The victim, Brandon Dorsey, 26, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one was at the scene when police arrived, so they have no description of the shooter.
