KATY – A new store in Katy offered its first customers a pretty amazing deal as part of its grand opening Thursday morning.
The first nine people in line at the 99 Cent Only store got the chance to buy a 40-inch Westinghouse flat screen television for less than $1.
The first person in line camped outside the new store almost two days before the official celebration. He told Local 2 that he got his spot in line at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
For the shoppers further back in line, the 99 Cent Only store still offered a reason to stick around for the store's opening. The next 99 people got the chance to take home an Ed Hardy backpack and a scooter for the same low price of 99 cents.
