The site, which is the largest civilian-run vaccination site in the country, will operate only a few days a week until city and county officials can get more doses of the vaccine. Two office supply stores are offering free lamination services for your vaccination card for a limited time. Customers are invited to visit any Staples or Office Depot/OfficeMax location with their completed COVID-19 vaccination card to get it laminated at no cost. Get a coupon for a FREE lamination of your completed COVID-19 vaccination card. The offer allows customers to carry proof of vaccination as many businesses and events are beginning to open up after lengthy COVID-19 closures and cancellations.

What it was like to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in the Houston-area

I received my first dose of the Moderna vaccine on Wednesday at a CVS Pharmacy in Pasadena, and to be honest, the process was a lot smoother...well, the “getting the shot” part, that is. KPRC 2 reached out to a Houston-area Staples, where the office supply company is offering free lamination services to COVID-19 vaccination cards once you have received both shots. Just bring in your card and the associate will laminate your card for you at no cost. The free lamination offer is good until April 3, according to Staples.

‘It’s up to you’: Former presidents join together to urge Americans to vaccinate against COVID-19 in new ad campaign

The 60-second spot shows each of the former presidents and the former first ladies rolling up their sleeves and receiving their shot. Meanwhile, a 30-second spot, featured Bush, Clinton and Obama standing together presenting a series of vaccine facts and a message of hope to Americans. “The science is clear, this vaccine will protect you and those you love from this deadly disease,” Bush stated in the ad campaign. AdCNN reported former president Donald Trump and former first lady Melania Trump did not appear on both ads. However, Trump had put out a statement, claiming credit for the COVID-19 vaccine before the ads were published.

METRO offering free rides to COVID-19 vaccination sites around Houston-area

HOUSTON – METRO Houston will now offer free rides to anyone who plans to receive their COVID-19 vaccine. Houstonians within the METRO service area can hop on their local bus, METRORail, Park & Ride, METRORapid, and METROLift ride, according to a news release Thursday. Those who plan to use the free service must show proof of their appointment or vaccination card upon boarding. Eligible riders must also fall under categories 1A and 1B of the state vaccination guidelines, which includes frontline workers, residents at long-term care facilities and those at greater risk for complications. The free ride offer will be expanded along with the state’s vaccine expansion to other groups.

Target to offer Houston-area employees these incentives for receiving COVID-19 vaccine

In addition to pay, employees can take advantage of free Lyft rides to their vaccine site of their choice, such as a pharmacy, clinic, health care provider or a state/city-run super site. As coronavirus vaccines become more widely available for essential workers, Target’s committed to making the process easier for our team. The company is also working with its benefits team to make sure all vaccine costs to employees are covered, no matter where they get it.

CVS Health among pharmacies set to expand access to COVID-19 vaccine in Houston

HOUSTON – If you’re eligible and looking to get the COVID-19 vaccine, you’ll be able to schedule an appointment with CVS Health beginning Thursday. Vaccinations at 70 pharmacy locations in Texas, including an undisclosed number in Houston, will begin the next day on Friday. The scheduling system will open on Feb. 11,” Monica Prinzing with CVS Health Corporate Communications said. Because active stores will change regularly based on vaccine supply, CVS Health will not provide a full list of participating locations,” Prinzing added. H-E-BAd“H-E-B Pharmacies are prepared to receive new allotments of COVID-19 vaccine at any time from the government.
