But with our unpredictable weather, you need to know what could happen if the day you planned some fun in the sun is a washout. You’ve probably seen the ads on social media for <a href="https://www.resortpass.com/" target="_blank">ResortPass</a>. The service lets you pay to spend the day and use the amenities at luxury hotels for as little as $30 a day. But one family found canceling a convoluted and confusing process.

She helped a White House community college summit during the Obama-Biden administration.

EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell warmly congratulated “Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris for their historic victory" and said the 27-nation bloc looked forward to better relations than under President Donald Trump. “It is not a secret, (either), that in the past 4 years things have become complicated," Borrell told legislators at the European Parliament. Let’s hope it is not going to be a bumpy transition," Borrell said.
Germany toughens punishment for child sex abuse, child porn
(AP Photo/Markus Schreiber, Pool)BERLIN – Germany's Cabinet on Wednesday approved draft legislation that will allow for tougher punishment of sexual abuse of children and the possession of child pornography. The government initiated the bill in the wake of prominent recent child abuse cases in Germany that feature large numbers of suspects. It uses the term “sexualized violence against children” instead of the current “sexual abuse” and raises the potential sentence to between one and 15 years in prison. And in the future, the statute of limitations will only fall on the production of child pornography when the victim turns 30. It foresees special qualification requirements for judges handling child abuse issues.

NBA releases testing results, no players confirmed positive
The league released its latest results Wednesday for coronavirus tests performed on players participating in the restarted season at Walt Disney World, and the numbers are still perfect. Of the 343 players tested since results were last announced July 29, none has been confirmed positive. That means no player has tested positive since entering the so-called bubble last month. There were two players who tested positive on arrival at Disney, with neither of those making it out of quarantine and potentially exposing anyone inside the bubble. I think not only has the league, but I think the players and everyone, theyve followed through.

Pool rental averages $45 per hour, and depending on the pool, there are additional amenities available for an upcharge, like firepits, a sauna or even a tennis court.
Baby resuscitated by bystanders after being found unresponsive in pool near Jersey Village, officials say
HOUSTON – A 1-year-old child was found unresponsive in a backyard pool near Jersey Village, according to the Cy-Fair Fire Department. The department first tweeted about the incident at about 6:26 p.m. in the 8600 block of Ballinger Drive in the Willowbridge Subdivision. Cy-Fair FD and @memorialhermann Life Flight respond to a pediatric drowning in the 8600 block of Ballinger Dr. in the Willowbridge Subdivision Wednesday in Houston. was reportedly found unresponsive in a backyard pool.
