HCSO: 2 deputies involved in crash while responding to call
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas โ Two Harris County deputies were involved in a crash Saturday morning while responding to a call, according to the Harris County Sheriffโs Office. Two deputies in a marked patrol vehicle were traveling westbound on Clay Road at approximately 3 a.m. when a civilian driving a Ford F-150 eastbound on Clay Road attempted to make a left turn in front of the patrol vehicle. Preliminary reports suggest the patrol unitโs lights likely were not on when the crash occurred, but investigators are working to confirm this, a deputy at the scene said. Deputies said they intend to review the patrol unitโs dash cam footage. At this point in the investigation, itโs unclear who caused the crash, a deputy at the scene said.

Officials said the collision was between a white SUV and a white Nissan at 3998 North Highway 6. The call was reported at 12:30 p.m.Officials said no one was injured in the crash.
Before and after: Northwest Houston business sustains significant damage from explosion
HOUSTON โ An early-morning blast at a northwest Houston machining and manufacturing company Friday killed at least two people, according to officials. The blast happened around 4:20 a.m. at a business near Gessner Road and Clay Road. Some debris from the blast landed nearly half a mile away from the explosion site, Police Chief Art Acevedo tweeted. Watson Grinding and Manufacturing, the site of the explosion, sustained significant damage. Photos of the northwest Houston business show the exterior before and after the massive blast.

Video shared by a KPRC 2 viewer from their doorbell camera showed a flash followed by a plume of smoke at the time of the blast. Another video shared by a viewer recorded audio of the explosion. A Nest camera at a different home also recorded the sound of Friday morningโs explosion. Spring Branch Independent School District officials said they anticipate transportation delays for students in the area.
