HOUSTON – Is it just us, or are you noticing a lot of lottery winners in the Houston area?

KPRC 2 has noticed a series of announcements where several Houston-area residents have become millionaires overnight.

We’ve been keeping track of where the prize-winning tickets were bought:

Houston

On Thursday, a Houston resident claimed a top prize-winning ticket worth $1 million in the Texas Lottery scratch ticket game $1,000,000 Crossword. The ticket was purchased at Sunny’s Citgo, located at 8401 Long Point Rd.

Humble

A Humble resident claimed a winning ticket worth $1 million in the Texas Lottery Friday. The ticket was purchased at H-E-B Food Store #614, located at 12680 W. Lake Houston Parkway.

New Caney

A New Caney resident claimed a ticket worth $1 million in the Texas Lottery scratch ticket game 200X The Cash Friday. This was the second of four top prizes worth $1 million to be claimed in this game. The ticket was purchased at Kingwood Mart, located at 4003 Rustic Woods Dr. (Suite C), in Kingwood.

Conroe

A Conroe resident claimed a top prize winning ticket worth $3 million in the Texas Lottery scratch ticket game 500X Loteria Spectacular Thursday. The ticket was purchased at Econo-Food Store #2, located at 1000 S. Frazier St., in Conroe.

Tomball

A $2 million Powerball ticket was sold in Tomball this past Sunday at the Rosehill Mini Mart located at 18402 FM 2920 Rd. The winning numbers were 10-11-26-27-34-7 and the Powerplay number was 4.

All claimants decided to remain anonymous (and we don’t blame them).

Unclaimed $1 million Powerball ticket bought in Houston expiring this month

Luck is running out for a Powerball winner who bought a $1 million ticket from a store on Houston’s southwest side in July 2023-- that still hasn’t been claimed.

Texas Lottery announced that a second-tier winning ticket for the Powerball drawing held on July 19, 2023, will expire this month! The winning ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn (7-10-11-13-24) but not the red Powerball number (24), a news release from Texas Lottery said.
