Man in critical condition after shooting in SE Houston Shooting (KPRC 2)
HOUSTON – Authorities say a man is in critical condition after he was shot in the head in southeast Houston Tuesday.
It happened at the intersection of Martin Luther King Blvd. and Griggs Road.
Houston police say they received the call around 1:40 p.m.
Lt. Larry Crowson with HPD says the victim and another man had been on a METRO bus earlier and there were some words exchanged between the two. They got off the bus and were walking south when another man walked up and shot the victim before fleeing into a nearby apartment complex.
Right now, Crowson says they have one possible suspect detained and they are trying to determine if he is the shooter.
Crowson says the victim is currently in surgery at a hospital.
