On arrival, units located a downed motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Investigators said the motorcyclist was driving northbound on Travis Street when he attempted to pass a car and lost control of his motorcycle.

Police said they got a call just after 3 a.m. about three vehicles following each other in downtown and midtown. According to officers, the cars were ramming into each other and police believe shots were fired between the vehicles. At some point, the vehicles ended up outside HPD headquarters on Travis Street, where officers came out of the building and arrested four to five people. Officers believe this all may have started at a bar in midtown but are still investigating.

The Rodeo Run wheelchair division begins at 9:10 a.m. followed by the 10K race and 5K fun run/walk. The downtown Houston Rodeo Parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Bagby Street heading east on Walker Street, south on Travis Street, west on Bell Street, north on Louisiana Street, west on Lamar Street, concluding on Lamar Street at Bagby Street.
