In the past month, 14-year-old Logan Dark was hit and killed by a driver while riding his bike near Katy. A 61-year-old man was hit and killed while walking his dog in Sugar Land. Fort Bend County sheriff Eric Fagan said tragedies like this are on the rise.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in west Houston Friday night. Shortly after 9:40 p.m. Friday, officers responded to reports of an auto-pedestrian accident on Wesheimer Road and Old Farm Road.
