U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul confirmed that his district office in Tomball was vandalized overnight. TOMBALL, Texas – A spokeswoman for U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Dist. 10) said Monday that the congressman’s district office in Tomball was vandalized. The words “Swamp Traitor” were spray-painted on the outside doors of the office sometime late Sunday or early Monday, the spokeswoman said. “I pray we can come together as Americans, unified knowing we are one nation under God.”The Tomball Police Department has opened an investigation and has also been in contact with the U.S. Capitol Police.

Harris County Democratic Headquarters vandalized with red paint, graffiti

HOUSTON – The Harris County Democratic Party headquarters in the 4600 block of Lyons Ave was vandalized early Monday morning. It’s locks filled with superglue and slogans smeared on the front windows saying “Don’t Vote” and “Election No, Revolution Yes.”The party’s executive director, D.J. And whoever did it knew full well that this was going to reach the news and that people would see it. So far, incidents of voter fraud, intimidation, or harassment have been far and few between, according to the Harris County Election Security Task Force. With over 1.4 million votes already cast in Harris County, complaints of voter suppression, fraud and similar offenses have resulted in 20 open investigations, according to Precinct One Constable spokesman Kevin Quinn.

Houston church’s Black Lives Matter banner targeted for second time

HOUSTON – A Houston church community is praying that thieves and vandals stop making them a target. For the second time in two months, someone has destroyed or stolen a Black Lives Matter banner from the front of Resurrection MCC Church on West 11th Street near the Heights. This isn’t the first time someone tampered with a Black Lives Matter sign at Resurrection MCC. “I cannot believe that I just drove by your church and you have the sign of Black Lives Matter,” the voice said. “It matters enough to our congregation and it matters enough to our world right now to say: Black Lives Matter,” said Threash.

Investigation underway after Buffalo Soldiers National Museum vandalized with apparent swastika, other wording

HOUSTON – The Buffalo Soldiers National Museum was vandalized with an apparent swastika and other images. Desmond Bertrand-Pitts, CEO of the museum and the founder’s grandson, filed a police report that said someone spray-painted the building between Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday was National Buffalo Soldiers Day. In 1866, through an act of Congress, legislation was adopted to create six all African American Army units, now known as the buffalo soldiers. I haven’t lost faith in the people, because I know there is more good than there is bad,” said Bertrand-Pitts.

Christopher Columbus statue at Bell Park vandalized a third time since last week

HOUSTON A Christopher Columbus statue in Bell Park has been vandalized for the third time since last week. Police were on the scene at Bell Park, just outside the Museum District, after the Columbus statue was vandalized again. Police told KPRC 2 they received a call at around 1 a.m. that someone wearing all black threw red paint on the statue. This same Christopher Columbus statue was vandalized twice last week.

Teen who spray-painted N-word and other vulgar language on vehicles in Hickory Creek charged

KATY, Texas The Fort Bend County Sheriffs Office said a teen who spray-painted as many as 16 vehicles in the Hickory Creek neighborhood with racist, vulgar language and images has been charged. Deputies said the N-word was spray-painted on vehicles and driveways, along with the words be gone. On June 13, Dominic Reale, 18, was charged with felony graffiti and could face additional hate crime-related charges. Investigators said on June 3 starting at 5:45 a.m., the Fort Bend County Sheriffs Office received more than a dozen calls in the 6900-7000 blocks of Pembrough Lane and Glen Rosa Drive, in the Katy area of Fort Bend County. When deputies arrived at the scene, they said they found the vehicles spray-painted with racial slurs and graphic drawings. Deputies said he was already in the Fort Bend County Jail for an unrelated assault charge.

Christopher Columbus statue in Houston vandalized for second straight night

HOUSTON A statue of Christopher Columbus at a Houston park has been vandalized for the second straight night. On Thursday night, vandals cut off one of the hands of the statue located in Bell Park in the Museum District. The same statue was vandalized with red paint on Wednesday night. The seven-foot bronze statue was donated to the city in 1992 by the Federation of Italian-American Organizations of Greater Houston. Red paint was also used to vandalize the statue in 2017.

Virginia protesters tear down a statue of Jefferson Davis a day after bringing down Christopher Columbus

RICHMOND, Virginia A crowd of protesters in Richmond, Virginia, brought down the statue of Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederacy, CNN affiliate WRIC reported. But protesters vandalized a statue of Christopher Columbus, tore it down using ropes and threw it in the park. Ahead of the rally, the Richmond Indigenous Society tweeted "we are gathering at Byrd Park to protest yet another racist monument. Christopher Columbus was a murderer of Indigenous people, mainstreaming the genocidal culture against Indigenous people that we still see today. The state's governor has also announced plans to remove another statue honoring Confederate General Robert R. Lee from Richmond's historic Monument Avenue.

HOUSTON A statue of Christopher Columbus in Houston was found vandalized Thursday morning. The statue is located in Bell Park in the Museum District. A man who lives in the Italian neighborhood where the park is located said hes disappointed to see the statue was defaced. Statue of Confederate general at Texas A&M, Confederate monument in Huntsville vandalized

HOUSTON – A statue of a Confederate general in College Station and a Confederate monument in Huntsville have been vandalized in the past 24 hours. According to The Eagle, red spray paint was used to scrawl the word “racist” and the acronyms “BLM” and “ACAB” on the statue of Sul Ross on the campus of Texas A&M University. Ross was a Confederate general who went on to serve as the school’s president from 1891 to 1898. The Ross statue was dedicated in 1918 and is the oldest on campus, The Eagle reported. The paint was used to cover a Confederate flag and the words engraved into the stone, The Item reported.

N-word and other vulgar language, images spray-painted on dozens of cars in Hickory Creek Neighborhood

HOUSTON The Fort Bend County Sheriffs Office is looking for a man who spray-painted as many as 30 vehicles in the Hickory Creek neighborhood with vulgar language and images. Daisja Franklin, a black woman, moved into the neighborhood last month. Other cars were spray-painted with male genitalia, vulgar words and scribbling. It was kinda, pretty scary at first.For something like that to be written on their car was like, horrific, neighbor Tabitha Wilson said. Investigators woke up Franklin, Wilson, and dozens of others.
