PHOTOS: Tiny kitten trapped on support beam under Highway 90 overpass rescued
Yesterday afternoon, the Houston SPCA rescue ambulance, Harris County Precinct 1 deputies and a traffic light installer worked for six hours to save a little kitten that was trapped on top of a 30-foot tall support beam under a portion of Highway 90 near S. Post Oak in Southwest Houston.

HOUSTON โ A video from northeast Harris County shows the mess a broken waterline from frozen pipes can bring. Video of the home -- said to be on Highway 90 at Sheldon Road โ shows water falling on sodden insulation and sheetrock strewn over furniture in what looks to be a living room. 1 dead, 1 injured in train crash in Channelview, HCSO says
CHANNELVIEW, Texas โ An Amtrak train crashed into an SUV on Wednesday in Channelview, according to Harris County Sheriffโs Office. According to deputies, the railroad arms were activated and there were two cars stopped at the crossing. The SUV went around the waiting cars and the approaching passenger train struck the vehicle. Preliminary info: the RR arms were activated. Winds fuel mulch fire in Fort Bend County
FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas โ High winds made it tough for firefighters to battle a mulch fire in Fort Bend County. The Richmond Fire Department was called out to the scene on Highway 90 and Pitts Road around 6 p.m. Monday. Firefighters found a large mound of mulch that appeared to have self-combusted from the inside. The strong winds carried embers to other nearby mounds. The winds in the area have since subsided.
