The New York Police Department is asking the public for help in finding a man sexually assaulted a woman in her Chinatown apartment building. The attacker followed the 27-year-old woman into her building near Market Street and Madison Street on Sept. 24, police said. In surveillance video of the incident, the woman is seen being pinned against the wall in her vestibule as the culprit tries to kiss her and forcibly grope her buttocks, breasts and groin, according to the NYPD.

The Woodlands, Texas โ€“ A popular restaurant located in Market Street The Woodlands has unexpectedly closed their doors. According to sources inside the restaurant, management unexpectedly fired all of their employees and told them they would not be reopening. On January 31, 2022, the restaurant was locked out of the building after the landlord terminated their lease agreement. According to a lockout notice posted to the restaurantโ€™s front door, Jasperโ€™s owes over $250,000.00 in rent to Kimco Market Street, LLC, the landlord for Market Street. While waiters and kitchen staff scramble to find new jobs, itโ€™s unclear if Jasperโ€™s will re-open in a new location.

South County 4th of July parade canceled in The Woodlands for 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns

The South County 4th of July Committee and Market Street announced in a statement Thursday that its 44th annual โ€œStars and Stripes Foreverโ€ Fourth of July parade is canceled this year due to coronavirus concerns. โ€œThe South County 4th of July Committee along with Market Street announce with great sadness, the cancellation of the 44th Annual 4th of July Parade, โ€˜Stars & Stripes Foreverโ€™ due to the COVID-19 pandemic,โ€ organizers said in release. โ€œWith the potential of over 20,000 spectators and 200 volunteers gathering along the parade route through Town Center and Market Street, holding the parade would not be in the best interest of health and safety for our community.โ€Organizers said they look forward to resuming the parade in 2021. The annual parade dates back to the late 1970โ€™s when it was originally organized by The Woodlands Lions Club. The South County 4th of July Committee was formed in the 1990โ€ฒs.

Gap plans to reopen 800 stores by the end of May

At the end of March, Gap drew down its entire $500 million credit line and said it was suspending dividend payments. "We are fully engaged in conversations with landlords regarding these decisions and plans to reopen," Syngal said. The biggest U.S. mall owner, Simon Property Group, notably has 412 Gap stores, including Banana Republic and Old Navy, at its malls and outlet centers. Gap plans to double the number of locations where it is shipping from the store, as well as add additional curbside pickup options, according to Syngal. When it warned about its financial situation last month, Gap also said it is possible that some of its stores never reopen.

Protesters temporarily block San Francisco Pride parade

CNNA group of about 10 protesters blocked the San Francisco Pride parade for about an hour Sunday. San Francisco police said in a statement that the protesters blocked the parade route at 11 a.m. at Market Street near Sixth Street and that police attempted to contact them. Police said that after Pride event organizers made contact with the protesters, the protesters agreed to leave the street at noon and reopen the parade route. A contingent of Google employees petitioned the Pride parade to revoke Google's sponsorship because of what they called hate speech on Google platforms, including YouTube, KBHK reported. San Francisco Pride declined to revoke the sponsorship.
