Cold cases to get visibility with Montgomery County billboard program
HOUSTON โ Law enforcement officials in Montgomery County announced on Tuesday a new program to feature cold cases on digital billboards. The โCold Case Warm Upโ is a partnership with Multi-County Crime Stoppers Organizations and Clear Channel Outdoor. The program will feature a different โcold caseโ on digital billboard messages each quarter throughout the area to bring forward new information that could help shed light on unsolved crimes and help bring resolution to grieving families. The first case to be highlighted will be a case that has been on the books for 25 years, the murder of John and Patsy Stewart.

HOUSTON โ The Fort Bend County Sheriffโs Office launched the โTake Me Homeโ program to help law enforcement officers easily find and return loved ones who are at risk of wandering. The program was 15 months in the making, all to better serve the Fort Bend Community. Here is how it worksIn the new program, developed by the Pensacola Police Department, families can register their loved ones with cognitive disabilities such as Autism, Alzheimerโs, Dementia, and down syndrome. Here is how at-risk youth and families in need can get holiday meals via new government program
Greg Abbott announced a new program Tuesday that will help provide holiday meals for families and at-risk youth in communities across Texas. According to the release, the program benefits children, youth, and families served by the Texas network of Family and Youth Success Programs (formerly called Services to At-Risk Youth), select Boys and Girls Clubs, select CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) programs and agencies that serve child sex trafficking victims. Here is how it works:Participating restaurants list CFCPs on their online ordering system for customers to purchase on behalf of at-risk families and youth in the community. Participating service providers identify families and shelters who have the most need and work with participating restaurants to get the meals deliveredRestaurants interested in participating in the program can sign up on the Texas Restaurant Association website. Businesses and labor unions had pressed the government to step in with more direct support for people in precarious work situations. Under a furloughed worker program that expires next month, the government pays 80% of the wages of workers placed on leave. To underscore that his proposals have wide support, Sunak appeared outside his office before delivering his speech, holding a copy of the plan and flanked by representatives of the Confederation of British Industry and the Trades Union Congress.
