A Moving Way to Honor Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This MLK Day at Rothko Chapel

HOUSTON – The Rothko Chapel in Houston’s Museum District is open this Monday, January 15 to host a powerful program that honors the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this MLK Day.

Beginning at 11 a.m. in the chapel an audio installation sharing recordings of speeches made by Dr. King Jr. will play. There is an art installation outside by the Broken Obelisk sculpture on the plaza by New Braunfels artist Sandeigh Kennedy, and a ticketed public program in the evening featuring Parkland high school shooting survivor David Hogg. Hogg is Co-Founder of March For Our Lives.
