Rain chances slowly increasing for Houston

HOUSTON – The spectacular weather of the start of the week will slowly decline over the next few days as both clouds and chances of rain begin to increase.

Look for abundant sunshine Tuesday with temperatures climbing into the mid-80s. There is a slim chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm by the afternoon.

Wednesday looks to be mostly cloudy and warm with temperatures in the mid-80s and a 20% chance of showers.

Thursday and Friday will be cloudy and warm, with slightly better chances of showers.

The best chances for rain come Saturday and Sunday with cloudy skies, warm temperatures and the chance of widespread showers and thunderstorms. Flooding is not expected.

Skies clear and temperatures increase to the 90s by Monday.
