A wrong-way crash in northwest Harris County Sunday night left one woman dead and two other drivers injured, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Despite how severe the crash looked, police said the suspected drunk driver and the person in the van he crashed into did not suffer any injuries and declined to be taken to the hospital.
Investigators said the driver has been detained. However, moments before the crash, our cameras first caught the driver traveling in the opposite direction on I-45 S, just north of 610. Two people were hospitalized.

HOUSTON Police said a woman was killed in a wrong-way crash in southwest Houston Wednesday. Officers said the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on the southbound lanes of the Beltway near Westheimer. According to investigators, a woman was driving and going the wrong way. Police said the woman slammed head-on into a man driving a pickup truck. Police said the man she crashed into was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
