Monolith appears in Houston neighborhood
Monolith in the Houston Heights area on the corner of 11th and Beverly. HOUSTON – Houstonians in one neighborhood are baffled by the appearance of a silver monolith, similar to those discovered around the world. Residents told KPRC 2 that it showed up in the area about a week ago. “I was surprised,” one resident told KPRC. The first monolith was discovered in San Juan County, Utah on Nov. 18, with several European countries and Africa having reported several similar monoliths.
Man falls 30 feet into a cistern-type well while renovating a home
GUILFORD, Conn. Firefighters in Connecticut rescued a man who fell in a cistern-type well that was discovered underneath the home he was renovating, CNN reported. The man, who was renovating the home at the time stepped on loose wood and fell 30 feet down the well that was five feet wide. The home was built in the 1800s and the well was located outside the home before it was built. It is important to note that some of these older, historical homes may have hazards that were not upgraded by current code, Guilford PD said on Facebook. This situation could have ended with a fatality but due to the extreme professionalism and capabilities of Guilford Fire Department, everyone went home safely tonight.

California city hit by tornado, hail
DAVIS, California (CNN) - Weird weather struck Davis, California, over the weekend. The area experienced a tornado touchdown, pounding hail and record low morning temperatures. "California sees about 10 tornadoes a year, so this is rather rare for the area," he said. A little bit before the tornado, heavy hail fell on the Davis area. It looked like it snowed in Davis, CA after the tornado warned storm dropped hail on State Highway 113.
