A 21-year-old man, Michael Saulsberry, was arrested early Sunday for impersonating a public servant after being caught using red and blue lights to stop vehicles on I-10 westbound in Harris County.

(NBC NEWS) – A former police detective is suing a Kansas sheriff’s deputy for running him over with his truck in order to arrest him. 35-year-old Lionel Womack says he was returning to Kansas from a business trip in California on August 15th when he was pulled over by a deputy. Womack says he complied, but when three additional vehicles showed up and surrounded his car he “freaked out” and ran away in an open field. That’s when dashcam video shows a Kiowa County Sheriff’s truck turn toward him and run him over. Womack is suing the driver of that truck, Deputy Jeremy Rodriguez, accusing him of being recklessly and carelessly indifferent to his federally protected rights.

HOUSTON Three deputies were injured after a chain-reaction crash in the middle of the Eastex Freeway during a traffic stop Monday. Deputies said it all started when one of them got into a fight with a man that was pulled over. Investigators said another responding deputy involved in the crash suffered a broken hand. Another responding deputy was transported by an ambulance and was released from the hospital. The initial responding deputy that was wrestling the suspect lost his weapon during the incident.
