Can you imagine eating the same thing every day? Well, Matt Stoudt has been eating Chick-fil-A every day for over 130 days -- except, of course, on Sundays and on Thanksgiving Day. Back in July, the Nazareth, Pennsylvania resident set a challenge for himself -- to break the โunofficialโ record for consecutive days eating at Chick-fil-A after learning of a California man who had eaten at the popular chain for 114 days straight. Stoudt said things got rough around day 100 but he didnโt chicken out. Now heโs asking other Chick-fil-A fanatics not to beat him, because he doesnโt want to do it all over again.

So long doorbusters! Retailers put deepest discounts online after weeks of deals
Many of those stores will stay shuttered, and even the word "doorbusters" has largely disappeared from circulars and ads. Retailers including Walmart and Home Depot have swapped one-day store events for a drumbeat of holiday deals. So far, that early start to holiday sales seems to be giving retail sales a lift. "This year, as soon as retailers started rolling out their sales and their deals, we were seeing really good deals that were sort of surprising to me," she said. She said retailers have still tried to create urgency by serving up different sales items each time.

Turner Urges Turkey Day Caution As Houston's Coronavirus Stats Keep Climbing

As of this past Wednesday, the local 14-day average positivity rate had jumped to 7.9 percent across the city, Turner said. โJust six days ago, it was about 6.4 percent...the numbers of hospitalized [coronavirus] patients are starting to creep up again,โ Persse explained. U.S. states sue Trump administration over fuel efficiency rollback
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A group of 23 U.S. states and the District of Columbia filed a lawsuit on Wednesday challenging a Trump administration decision to weaken Obama-era fuel efficiency standards. REUTERS/Mike BlakeIn March, the administration issued final rules requiring 1.5% annual increases in vehicle fuel efficiency through 2026 - far weaker than the 5% increases set under former President Barack Obama. The Trump administration also abandoned its August 2018 proposal to freeze requirements at 2020 levels through 2026. Last week, the group sided with the Trump administration plan and opposed a legal challenge to further weaken the requirements, while other automakers including Ford did not. Obamas environmental policies sought to cut carbon emissions that drive climate change, while Trump has ditched numerous environmental regulations his administration deemed harmful to industry.
feeds.reuters.comUS weekly jobless claims total 203,000, vs 215,000 expected
Initial claims for state unemployment benefits dropped 10,000 to a seasonally adjusted 203,000 for the week ended Nov. 30, the lowest level since mid-April, the Labor Department said on Thursday. Claims data tend to be volatile around holidays like last week's Thanksgiving Day, which was later this year compared to 2018. The Labor Department said no states were estimated last week. The four-week moving average of initial claims, considered a better measure of labor market trends as it irons out week-to-week volatility, fell 2,000 to 217,750 last week. The claims data has no bearing on November's employment report, which is scheduled for release on Friday.
