A special education teacher has resigned from Humble Independent School District after being accused of giving melatonin gummies to a few of her students at Forest Elementary School, according to the district.

HUMBLE, Texas โ Humble Independent School District students are hammering out better futures for area veterans. Some students at Kingwood Park High School and Summer Creek High School are building tiny homes for homeless heroes and itโs not just an act of kindness, itโs also being used as a teaching tool. Tuesday morning, U.S. Air Force Veteran Jeffrey Jacobs toured his future home thatโs currently under construction at Kingwood Park High school. โService is the heart of our school and this project just symbolizes all of that,โ said Principal of Kingwood Park High School, Lisa Drabing. The home was designed by Kingwood Park High School student, Parker Ryan.
Humble ISD experiences cyber attack during first day of virtual learning
HUMBLE, Texas โ The Humble Independent School District is back online after experiencing a cyber attack during the first day of virtual learning Tuesday. Humble ISD Superintendent Liz Celania-Fagan took to Twitter to inform everyone of the virtual attack while urging other students already online to stay on. โStudents who havenโt already logged on to their student gmail accounts cannot log in to student email accounts until it is resolved.โThe My Humble server is experiencing a cyber attack. The My Humble server is currently experiencing a cyber attack called denial of service. Hampson said while common, tracking the source of a denial of service attack is tough.
Humble ISD students begin 2020 school year Tuesday
HUMBLE, Texas โ Students at Humble Independent School District started virtually on Tuesday. On a normal year, the drill team at Summer Creek High School wouldโve started weeks earlier, but this year, practices were delayed and they made major changes. โSeeing them dance, seeing this magic, this passion that they have, the passion that I share with them, so thatโs what exactly what Iโm looking forward to.โBut this year is different in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. โA little difficult at the beginning but it ended up working out, I have my team of 60,โ said Aranda. The district is allowing students who are learning virtually to take part in extracurricular activities.
214 Humble ISD students absent as investigation into illness outbreak continues
HUMBLE, Texas โ More Humble Independent School District students were absent Friday as authorities continue the investigation into an outbreak of an illness at Woodland Hills Elementary School, officials said. Humble ISD said cleaning crews used equipment to fog the entire school with antibacterial and virucidal mist including the three buses that go to Woodland Hills Elementary School. "On Thursday, April 27, there are 205 students absent at Woodland Hills Elementary. "All buses that transport Woodland Hills Elementary students are being fogged with the antibacterial and virucidal mist. Humble ISD said it is still unclear what might have caused the students' illness.
New rankings have district replacing football helmets
HUMBLE, Texas โ Humble Independent School District officials have decided to replace football helmets that received a low score in newly released helmet safety rankings, Local 2 Investigates has learned. Some of HISD's players used the Riddell VSR4, which received only one out of five stars in Virginia Tech's football safety rating system. The helmets being replaced account for 10 percent of the district's total helmets. The new helmet rankings were released in May. Waller ISD, Fort Bend ISD, Klein ISD and Conroe ISD also used lower-ranked helmets, according to those districts and open records requests filed by Local 2 investigative reporter Jace Larson.
