Aspiring model killed by train while taking photos on tracks

NAVASOTA, Texas – A 19-year-old woman was struck and killed by a train while she was on location for a photoshoot.

Authorities said Fredzania Thompson was on train tracks in Navasota when the accident happened.

Her mother, Hakamie Stevenson, said her daughter was taking pictures on the track to launch her modeling career.

Officials said Thompson was standing between two sets of tracks when a train approached.

She moved out of the way, but was unaware of a train approaching in the opposite direction.

The photographer was not injured during the accident.

Family and friends gathered together to wish her a happy birthday, including her fiancé Earl Chapman.

"It's really tough right now because we all needed her in our life. She would always make everybody's day, every time you (saw) her," Chapman said.

The two planned to get married and were expecting a child together.
