Residents ready for speed limit change in West University Place
It’s been a long time coming, but just like everything else, the process and studies were put on hold because of the pandemic. The traffic studies picked up in the Fall of 2020 when patterns started to make a comeback, and in early June, the ordinance to reduce the speed limit within West University Place city limits was approved.
Kenny & Ziggys New York Delicatessen to move into old Lubys spot on Post Oak
HOUSTON Popular delicatessen Kenny & Ziggys are relocating to the West University area, bringing a new cocktail menu and in-house bakery. In a news release shared Friday, the restaurant, located at 2327 Post Oak, said it plans to move into the old Lubys restaurant building on the same street in early to mid-2021. The pending demolition of the Post Oak Strip Center is behind the move. The restaurant will continue to operate at its 2327 Post Oak location until the transition is complete. Kenny & Ziggys is temporarily closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but is taking orders via takeout and delivery.

Abbie Flynn, 59, split her time between Houston and Gloucester, friends told KPRC 2. Flynn was reported missing on Feb. 2, the same day she had planned to host a party, according to Gloucester Police Chief Ed Conley. Flynn spoke on the phone with her son around 4 p.m. the day she went missing, Conley said. The closure will detour all US-59 southbound traffic to the IH-610 West Loop from Friday, August 2 at 9 p.m. to Monday, August 5 at 5 a.m.The seven-year construction project has a goal of widening the connector ramps at that interchange to improve traffic flow and safety.
