Andrea Abshire was last seen Wednesday, Feb. 24 getting into a black Mazda Miata convertible in the 12300 Block of FM 1960 W, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. She was last seen wearing a hoodie and blue jeans. She was carrying a grey and black backpack and a camo purse. Missing 10-year-old found safe; father charged in death of child’s mother, police say
UPDATE: A missing 10-year-old Carrollton girl was found safe Wednesday morning, hours after she was reported missing, according to the Carrollton Police Department. Rosemary Singer was reported missing shortly after her mother, Maria Romeros Ramos, was discovered dead. Ramos’ ex-husband and Rosemary’s father, Ronald Singer, was taken into custody and charged in Ramos’ death, according to the Carrollton Police Department. Law enforcement officials are searching for the girl’s father Ronald Singer in connection with her disappearance. Amber Alert issued for missing Texas teen believed to be traveling with wanted girlfriend

Itasca police said 15-year-old Lori Johnson is believed to be with 18-year-old Joanna Barrientos. Police said Johnson ran away last week. HOUSTON – Have you seen Luat Trinh? The 76-year-old man with dementia went missing on Monday after he left on a bike in an unknown direction at the 2200 block of Woodland Park Drive. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, white shoes and a lime-colored bike helmet. He is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. HOUSTON – A man with an intellectual disability is missing from a home in west Houston since Monday. Zion Xavier Nicholls, 18, went missing around 8:00 p.m. in the 2000 block of Briarlee Drive, Houston police said Tuesday. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with the words “Vans” across the front in white, a black hoodie, and black jogger sweatpants. Family reunited with dog after losing her days before Hurricane Harvey
NEW CANEY – A family in New Caney is whole again after losing their dog days before Hurricane Harvey slammed into Houston. The family in New Caney almost gave up until a rescue group found her in Sugar land. A volunteer from another organization named, ‘Lost Dogs of Texas’ stepped in and used a special database to find Maddie’s owner. AdThe volunteer from Lost Dogs of Texas was able to contact Rachel’s mother and Maddie was finally reunited with her family. Lost dogs of Texas said thousands of dogs are lost every year.

Authorities are searching for a 27-year-old man who has been missing since Nov. 26, 2020. Zada Mahamadou Zada may have been seen in Houston Thursday, Jan. 28, according to Texas EquuSearch. The organization received a tip Zada was spotted on Westpark Drive and Southwest Freeway. Zada is described as a Black male with a slim build standing 6 feet tall and weighing 150 pounds. 20-year-old man on Autism spectrum last seen in Westchase a week ago
Calvin Rashall was last located on Dec. 10 in the Westchase area of Houston. HOUSTON – A 20-year-old man on the Autism spectrum is missing the Houston area, according to his family. Calvin Rashall was last seen Dec. 10 in the Westchase area. His family believes Rashall is a suicide risk after being off his medication. Rashall’s family said he is bipolar and functions cognitively and socially at about the level of a 14-year-old child.

33-year-old veteran missing from Houston home since October, mother says
A 33-year-old veteran has been missing from his Houston home since October. Powell had told his mother, who he lives with, that he was stepping out to go to a store. His mother Pinkie Powell said he often shuts down and refuses to talk. A Good Samaritan found him at a bus stop near Dallas, saw his dog tags, called his mother and told her Powell refused to talk. UPDATE: Body of 26-year-old woman found in Houston, family says
HOUSTON – Alexis Sharkey, a 26-year-old woman, was missing in Houston. The woman’s body was recovered on Sunday night, Sharkey’s mother wrote on Facebook. “It’s with deeply broken hearts that Mike and I want to let you all know that Lexi’s body has been found,” wrote Stacey Robinault. “We cannot begin to thank you all for your love and the kind words you’ve extended to our family! Please give us this time to grieve this incredible loss to our family and this world!!!

Brother, sister missing in north Harris County found safe, officials say
HOUSTON – Two missing children,13-year-old Martha Velasquez Cruz and her 11-year-old brother, Mario Velasquez Cruz, have been found safe, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The HSCO shared a tweet confirming that the children had been located and are safe. UPDATE: 13-year-old Martha and 11-year-old Mario have been located and are safe. UPDATE: Coast Guard suspends search for missing man and woman near Seabrook after bodies matching description found
SEABROOK, Texas – The Coast Guard rescued a 13-year-old girl but ended its search for two other people in the water near Seabrook Wednesday afternoon after two bodies were discovered that matched the description of the missing boaters, officials announced. The Coast Guard said a boat crew arrived on-scene and rescued a 13-year-old girl who told them two other people were still missing. According to the Coast Guard, the missing boaters were a man in his early 60′s and a woman in her early 30′s. Officials said at about 8:27 a.m. Wednesday, a search crew found a body that matched the description of the missing man in this 60s. At about 3 p.m., officials found another body that matched the description of the missing woman in her 30s.

Authorities searching for missing teen last seen June 24 in Fort Bend County
SUGAR LAND, Texas Fort Bend County deputies said Wednesday they are searching for a teen missing since June 24. Zachary Ramirez, 15, was last seen around midnight when he left his residence in the 16300 block of Brush Meadows Court in the Sugar Land area. Fort Bend County deputies said there is no indication of foul play but will continue to search for him to ensure he is safe. US Rep. Sylvia Garcia to speak about search for missing Fort Hood soldier
FORT HOOD, Texas U.S. Rep. Sylvia Garcia (D-Houston) is expected to speak Tuesday about the search for a missing Fort Hood soldier who is from Houston. Garcia has scheduled a news conference about the disappearance of Pfc. Vanessa Guillen sometime after she meets with officials at Fort Hood. Last week, officials said they were launching an investigation into allegations that Guillen was sexually harassed before her disappearance. Body of Crosby firefighter Kent Zavala found Tuesday after he was thrown from Jeep into Galveston Bay Sunday
HOUSTON – Members of Texas Equusearch recovered the body of a 20-year-old Crosby firefighter Tuesday morning after he was thrown from his Jeep into Galveston Bay Sunday night, officials said. Around 8 p.m. Sunday, Kent Zavala and his dog were thrown into the water after a three-vehicle collision on Galveston’s I-45 Causeway resulted in his Jeep flipping over. Both Zavala and the dog were thrown off the Causeway, into the waters of Galveston Bay below. On Monday, Texas Equusearch aided the search-and-rescue effort, even as the U.S. Coast Guard suspended its search. Members of Texas EquuSearch have recovered the body of 20-year-old Kent Zavala,” officials wrote.

HOUSTON The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for credible information in the search for a 20-year-old Fort Hood soldier who went missing nearly two months ago. Vanessa Guillen was last seen on April 22 between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot of her Regimental Engineer Squadron Headquarters, officials wrote in a Facebook post Monday. She was last seen in the parking lot wearing a black t-shirt and purple fitness-type pants, officials wrote. Guillen maintained close ties with her family and the city of her birth, visiting there frequently while stationed at Fort Hood. officials wrote. Missing Sunnyside boy found safe
HOUSTON – A boy who went missing in the Sunnyside area Thursday morning has been found safe. According to Houston police, 9-year-old Romello Carter went missing about 10 a.m. from his home in the 8100 block of Bowen Street, which is near the intersection of Scott and Hondo streets. Romello was found safe about 5 p.m. Thursday and was reunited with his family, police said.
Houston teen missing for more than a week believed to be in danger, officials say
HOUSTON – Texas Equusearch and Harris County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for 14-year-old Sabrina Gary who was last seen on Friday, May 29. A week after her disappearance, Texas Equusearch said she was now considered endangered and sought public help to find her. She was last seen wearing a long-sleeved black top, black shorts and black socks with no shoes on. The parents of Amisty “Ammy” Monrreal called San Antonio police around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday to their home in the 200 block of Barrett Place. “She was taken out of her window,” said Roxanne Monrreal-Pena, her mother. “That’s what I’m concerned about,” Roxanne Monrreal-Pena said. Police find missing 94-year-old Houston man about 100 miles away

According to the Houston Police Department, 94-year-old Richard Terrell Jennings went missing around 6 p.m. Wednesday. Jennings last spoke to a family by phone and told that person he was stuck in traffic on Emancipation Avenue, police said. Police said a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper located Jennings in La Grange, Texas. Jennings was taken to a nearby hospital for observation, police said.
Amber Alert discontinued after 10-year-old boy found safe; mother’s ex-girlfriend in custody
HOUSTON – Less than an hour after Houston police tweeted about a missing 10-year-old boy they believed was taken by his mother’s ex-girlfriend, police found the boy safe. A regional Amber Alert was issued for Joshua Marin Houston police said at 1:28 p.m. Monday. Police believed Joshua had been taken by his mother’s ex-girlfriend, 30-year-old Nicole Harrison. “Through investigative means, he and suspect Nicole Harrison were located at an inn on the city’s west side,” police wrote. “Joshua is okay.”Harrison was taken into custody and will likely face kidnapping charges, police wrote.

HOUSTON – Two-and-a-half days after a 21-year-old man with learning disabilities disappeared from near his west Houston home, he was found safe 20 miles away at a men’s shelter. His mother Aisha Wright said he has been diagnosed with a cognitive delay learning disability and mild autism developmental disorder. “He’s very friendly, he’s outgoing,” Wright said, but “it’s not like him to not come home.”Tuesday afternoon, Wright was passing out fliers with friends and family. The family immediately drove to the shelter and Khalen, his younger brother, Kylas, and Ms. Wright hugged and cried together. “Thank you to everybody who shared the Facebook page, thank you to everybody who texted,” Wright said, nearly in tears.
Houston woman missing for more than a week in Massachusetts, officials say
HOUSTON – A Houston woman has been missing for more than a week in Gloucester, Massachusetts, according to the Gloucester Police Department. Abbie Flynn, 59, split her time between Houston and Gloucester, friends told KPRC 2. Flynn was reported missing on Feb. 2, the same day she had planned to host a party, according to Gloucester Police Chief Ed Conley. Flynn spoke on the phone with her son around 4 p.m. the day she went missing, Conley said. Mom of 2 missing kids found in Hawaii with new husband
Police in Kauai pulled over Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell near a beachside resort on Saturday, later searching them and their car for any evidence. Still, neither Lori Vallow nor Chad Daybell have been charged or arrested in connection with the matter, Kauai police said Sunday in a prepared statement. Lori Vallow moved to eastern Idaho with the kids about a month after Charles Vallow's death. The Vallow family has ties to Hawaii, and Lori Vallow was previously listed as a registered agent for a business there, according to state records. They say they believe Charles Vallow was murdered, and said Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell had cult-like beliefs.
Officials searching for La Porte man last seen at Grand Canyon on Dec. 22
HOUSTON – Officials are searching for a La Porte man who went missing at Grand Canyon National Park more than a week ago. Martin Edward O’Conner, 58, was last seen Dec. 22 at Yavapai Lodge, where officials say he had been staying since Dec. 17. O’Conner is described by NPS officials as a physically-fit white man weighing 145 pounds and 5 feet, 10 inches tall. Missing Austin mother found dead near Jersey Village was strangled, medical examiner says
HOUSTON – An Austin woman whose body was found at a home near Jersey Village on Thursday died from strangulation, according to the website of the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. Officials at the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed the identity of the body as Broussard and that she died from ligature strangulation. FBI joins search for Austin mom, newborn missing since last week
AUSTIN – The FBI has reportedly joined the search for an Austin mother and newborn missing since Thursday. Heidi Broussard, 33, and her infant daughter Margot Carey were last seen about 7:30 a.m. Thursday while dropping off a child at Cowan Elementary School in Austin, police said on Twitter. Officials believe Broussard returned her home with her baby afterward, but they have not been seen or heard from since Thursday morning. The NBC-affiliate in Austin reported police will hold a 1 p.m. Tuesday news conference to provide updates about the case. Police said anyone with information on their whereabouts should call 911.
