After narrowly missing out on a top-three finish in 2022, KHS Girls Golf stepped up to earn silver at the UIL-6A State Tournament this Spring--a feat that hasn't been accomplished since 1996.
This Spring was more of the same for Warriors Golf, with their four senior stars--Aaron Pounds, Jake Maggert, Jack Ushner and Sam McClure--looking as efficient as ever between the links.
The Willis Boys and Girls Golf teams both finished seventh at the District 13-6A Golf Championship. On the boy’s side, Drake Perry was the Wildkats’ top finisher in 24th place. Jacob Lee, Colin Utecht, Doran Georgi and Blake Dorwat also were top 45 finishers.
It’s no secret that several big-timers on the Concordia Lutheran campus go on to have impressive careers at the collegiate level, with some of the truly exceptional taking it one step further. The latest ‘Sader Nation’s alumnus to bring their talents to the elite stage is none other than 2015 graduate Austen “Ace” Christiansen, who recently made his professional golf debut for the PGA Tour Canada.
