WATCH: Earl, the 9-foot gator wrangled by authorities in Summerwood area
HOUSTON – A few Harris County Precinct 3 deputies and some local authorities in northeast Harris County had an exciting Tuesday. According to a YouTube video shared by Landon McDonald, with Precinct 3, Earl the 9-foot gator was found in the Summerwood neighborhood. Earl put up a good fight and it took the “gator patrol” a while to get him out of the water. In the end, the video shows they were able to secure Earl and put him safely into a truck. Harris County Precinct 3 Constable Sherman Eagleton said Earl was released to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for rehoming.

League City dad’s quick actions save 4-year-old from jaws of a massive, 11-feet alligator
The gator had its sights set on 4-year-old Brandalyn Grande, who was playing with her brother and babysitter Friday along part of the creek that abuts her family’s home in League City. Alligator sightings happen in Clear Creek, Grande said. Cell phone video recorded the moment the alligator hunter was able to fit a rope around the alligator’s head. “You want to tell them about the alligator,” Grande asked Brandalyn. He said the alligator hunter took it to Gator Country in Beaumont, Texas where the family hopes to one day visit it.

Gator with its tail run over spotted on road in Conroe

KPRC 2 was told the reptile’s tail had been run over on Sergeant Ed Holcomb and South Loop 336. Officers and DPS troopers were able to get the alligator off the road, but it put up quite the fight as they tried to relocate it. Using ropes and a dog catcher, the reptile was finally caught and loaded onto a wrecker. It was then released in a swamp several miles away.
