Police said the initial crash occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. when a Hyundai Veloster driving at a high rate of speed down Almeda Road collided with an SUV exiting a business, said Sgt. The SUV driver exited his vehicle to assist the Veloster driver when a black Ford F-150 struck the SUV driver and dragged him about 30 feet before fleeing the scene, said Rose. The SUV driver was declared dead at the scene, said Rose. The Turkey Leg Hut opened a new food truck at the Galleria Food Truck Park at 2829 Chimney Rock Road, according to a press release. The truck will sere the signature turkey legs and cajun bowls. The TLH Galleria Food Truck is part of the brand’s expansion plans that include a Savoy Urban Beer Garden, Daiquiri Hut and Breakfast Hut in the coming months, per the release. The food truck is open Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to as late as midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
