A police pursuit that began with a reported robbery call in northwest Houston ended in a crash near Almeda Road and Wichita Street late Monday morning, with two suspects detained and multiple scenes under investigation.

A motorcyclist in their 30s was killed in a collision with a minivan at the intersection of Almeda Road and Hepburn Street on Sunday morning. The minivan was moving from a stop sign when the motorcycle crashed into it, resulting in the motorcyclist's death on the scene. The Houston Police Department's Drug Recognition Unit confirmed the minivan driver was not under the influence, and it remains unclear if speed was a factor in the crash.

Houston police are searching for a 56-year-old man reported missing Saturday. John Jackson was last seen Friday at 5610 Almeda Road where he went for a dialysis treatment. At approximately 2 p.m. he left that location on his way to Methodist hospital, according to police. Jackson told personnel at the dialysis treatment center he had started feeling ill before his appointment and was going to the hospital for medical help, according to Texas EquuSearch. HOUSTON – A man was struck and killed by a truck Saturday night moments after getting out of his vehicle to help a fellow crash victim following a wreck on Almeda Road, according to the Houston Police Department. Police said the initial crash occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. when a Hyundai Veloster driving at a high rate of speed down Almeda Road collided with an SUV exiting a business, said Sgt. The SUV driver exited his vehicle to assist the Veloster driver when a black Ford F-150 struck the SUV driver and dragged him about 30 feet before fleeing the scene, said Rose. The SUV driver was declared dead at the scene, said Rose. HOUSTON – Houston’s craved turkey legs are now available in the Galleria area. The Turkey Leg Hut opened a new food truck at the Galleria Food Truck Park at 2829 Chimney Rock Road, according to a press release. The truck will sere the signature turkey legs and cajun bowls. The TLH Galleria Food Truck is part of the brand’s expansion plans that include a Savoy Urban Beer Garden, Daiquiri Hut and Breakfast Hut in the coming months, per the release. The food truck is open Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to as late as midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
