The venue has attracted attention well beyond Houston, becoming a popular destination for locals and visitors looking to experience the city’s food, music and nightlife scene.
But the music had been at the center of a dispute over noise and its impact on the surrounding neighborhood.
Now, Bar 5015 says it has cleared that hurdle and can move forward with outdoor amplified entertainment as long as it follows the City of Houston’s sound ordinance.
The business says the experience gave its ownership a chance to take a closer look at how it handles entertainment, sound control and its relationship with the surrounding community.
And that’s especially important in a corridor that’s constantly evolving.
Almeda Street has become one of Houston’s cultural hotspots, with businesses, restaurants and entertainment venues drawing people to the area.
Bar 5015’s ownership says it’s looking forward to continuing to be part of that scene while being a good neighbor.
So, if you’ve been wondering when the music would be coming back to Bar 5015, it looks like the answer is: turn it up.
