Woman’s purse snatched in north Houston parking lot in possible jugging incident; police searching for 2 suspects

HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for snatching a woman’s purse in a possible jugging incident in north Houston.

Police said on Monday, August 28 at around 3:30 p.m., the woman was walking to her vehicle in a parking lot located in the 2500 block of Shearn when she approached her vehicle, officers said she noticed that her front passenger window was broken and her center console was open. The woman told officers that a silver four-door Infiniti sedan then pulled up next to her and an unknown male grabbed her purse from her shoulder. Once the suspects had her purse, they sped off.

According to HPD, the victim said that prior to the robbery, she had gone to a Chase Bank at 175 Yale St. and believes that she may have been followed by the suspects, who have only been described as two males between 18 and 20 years old.
