NBC's Megyn Kelly sits down with Dominique Sachse in Houston

HOUSTON – Megyn Kelly sat down with KPRC2's Dominique Sachse in Houston to discuss her new morning show, Megyn Kelly TODAY.

She is visiting NBC affiliates across the country to talk about Megyn Kelly TODAY, which starts Monday, Sept. 25, at 9 a.m. on KPRC 2.

During the interview, Kelly talked about how dealing with bullying as a child has helped her get where she is today.

"I had a hideous year in my childhood of bullying where I was targeted by the mean girls," Kelly said. "I just want them to know as unpleasant as those situations can be, there is a way forward and you can use those situations for your advantage."

Kelly also discussed how she thinks the new show will help her be a better mother so she has time to have dinner with her children, tuck them in and read them stories at night.

"Every working parent makes sacrifices. Every working parent I know feels some working parent guilt and would like to spend more time with their kids and more time at the office," she said. "We feel like we are not nurturing either. To the extent that you could or would."

Kelly went live on Facebook with KPRC2 anchor Dominique Sachse. View the Facebook Live discussion and the comments on the post on the KPRC2 Facebook page
