Colorado teen flouts school policy, wears Mexican and US flag sash to graduation
A Colorado student barred from wearing a sash representing the flags of Mexico and the United States to her high school graduation did so anyway, partially covering it with another sash. Grand Valley High School graduate Naomi Peรฑa Villasano told a local newspaper she was standing up for what she believes in. School officials had said she would be banned from graduation ceremonies if she wore the sash. She sought a court order against the school, but a federal judge ruled Friday that the ban was legal. Peรฑa Villasano wore the sash on Saturday, partially covered with her Key Club International sash. No one tried to stop her from receiving her diploma.

Teen in custody after stabbing his grandmother multiple times, police say
HOUSTON โ A teen is in custody after police said he stabbed his grandmother with a knife multiple times. The incident happened Wednesday in the Terranova subdivision on Slashwood Lane in northwest Harris County, authorities said. Authorities said the 16-year-old was arrested last year in connection with assaulting his grandfather, resulting in severe injuries that ultimately lead to his death, police said. The teenโs grandmother is in stable condition, officials said.
Teen dies after being shot while inside home in north Houston, police say
HOUSTON โ Police said a teen is dead after he was shot while inside a home with his family in north Houston. Officers said the shooting happened on Grenfell Lane and Hardy Street around 12:35 a.m. According to investigators, 18-year-old Adrian Puerto was in his bedroom when he was shot through the door by an unknown suspect with a rifle. Family members in the residence told officers they heard gunshots but did not witness the shooting. Multiple casings were found in a ditch across the street, officers said.

She said one explanation on why these teens are catching the virus more frequently is because of the aerosol expelled when vaping. Just being around someone who is vaping, if they have coronavirus, could increase their risks, McGee said. Dr. McGee said, socially the early 20-somethings tend to act the same as pediatric patients and therefore have the same risks. A North Carolina teen who suffered a spinal cord injury in a hood-surfing accident couldnโt believe how tall he was after standing up for the first time in nine months, FOX 10 reports. In the video recorded by his mother Beth Hodge, 17-year-old J.J. reacts to standing up for the first time since his injury. As soon as he was able to stand upright, the teen is heard in the video saying, โDude, Iโm tall!โAccording to FOX 10, J.J. started neuromuscular electrical stimulations (NMES) to help strengthen his core and stimulations, shown in the video above, are what helped J.J. stand up for the first time. โThey are concentrating on his core now, trying to strengthen it to allow him to do things like transfer himself to/from his chair and use a manual chair instead of only the big power chair,โ his mother on a Facebook page dedicated to her sonโs recovery โItโs a long and arduous process, but JJ says he is up for the challenge.โ
