Walker told "CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King that he asked police to identify themselves several times, but never got an answer. Reid’s death on Monday was confirmed by Je’Caryous Johnson, the CEO of Je’Caryous Entertainment, which was planning a stage adaption of “B.A.P.S.” A rep for the actor's family said she died after a battle with colon cancer. In the film “B.A.P.S,” Reid and Berry played the roles of two waitresses at a Georgia food diner who decide to fly to Los Angeles for a music video audition. The tandem ended up living a luxury lifestyle as “Black American Princesses” while caring for an elderly Beverly Hills millionaire. Tyler Perry Studios said they had enough boxes of canned vegetables and $25 gift cards for 5,000 families to drive through and pick up. The studio said it was out of food by 10 a.m. Sunday. The line started forming Saturday and at one point stretched for 5 miles (8 kilometers) south of downtown Atlanta, media outlets reported. When the driver tried to go around the roadblock, shots were fired and the girl was hit, Malecki told reporters at a news conference Tuesday. Malecki said the video comes from a surveillance camera near where Secoriea was shot. The girl was shot near the Wendys restaurant where a Black man, Rayshard Brooks, was killed by a white police officer June 12.

Tyler Perry offers to pay $14,000 hospital bill for couple stuck in Mexico
MEXICO -- Tyler Perry is trying to help a couple that says they're being held captive in a hospital in Mexico.The media mogul learned about Stephen Johnson and Tori Austin from a report on "Good Morning America. "Johnson went into diabetic shock while on a Carnival cruise, so he was rushed to a hospital in the Yucatan peninsula.The bill came out to $14,000 and the hospital will not allow the couple to leave until the bill is paid in full. "They locked the windows and so far we just can't leave until this $14,000 dollar bill is paid," Austin said.When Perry heard about the couple's ordeal, he quickly jumped into action and told them that he would pay their hospital expenses.After Perry made the offer, the hospital said Johnson still requires more care, so unfortunately the couple is still there.abc13.com

Michael Jordan pledges $1M to help battered Bahamas
Jim Rogash/Getty Images(CNN) - NBA legend Michael Jordan has jumped into the Bahamas relief effort by announcing he will give $1 million to help the islands impacted by Hurricane Dorian. "I am devastated to see the destruction that Hurricane Dorian has brought to the Bahamas, where I own property and visit frequently," Jordan said in a statement from his manager, Estee Portnoy, on Twitter. Jordan also gave a $2 million donation to support North Carolina after Hurricane Florence last year. The NBA GOAT joins other celebrities who have donated money to the Bahamas after Dorian. Hurricane Dorian left more than 70,000 people homeless in the Bahamas, and at least 50 people have died.
