A woman was hospitalized after a medical emergency caused her to lose control of her vehicle and crash into the side of a Cypresswood home.

The man accused of beating his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter is being held on a $1 million bond as court documents reveal the toddler “is not expected to survive.”

According to residents in the Enchanted Oaks neighborhood, the Cypress Creek Bridge closure off of I-45 was something they did not see coming.

HOUSTON – A man and a child were killed attempting to cross North Freeway on foot, according to Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The double fatality occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday near North Freeway at Cypresswood. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales said the man, 32, struck a concrete wall with his vehicle in the 19000 block of the North Freeway. Both the man and child were declared dead at the scene. The case remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
