Two people were shot by the same bullet near Cypresswood and FM 1960 in North Harris County.

Two roadways in northwest Harris were temporarily shutdown Monday morning after a large tree topped on power lines, according to deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

The woman was a friend of a friend, coming over to hang out. Investigators say it looks like she set the guy up to get robbed.

The Texas Department of Transportation created a temporary IH-45 North Freeway southbound frontage road bypass between Cypresswood and FM 1960 is now open to drivers. It will provide continuous passage for those on the North Freeway southbound feeder road trying to access FM 1960.

According to residents in the Enchanted Oaks neighborhood, the Cypress Creek Bridge closure off of I-45 was something they did not see coming.

HOUSTON – A man and a child were killed attempting to cross North Freeway on foot, according to Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The double fatality occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday near North Freeway at Cypresswood. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales said the man, 32, struck a concrete wall with his vehicle in the 19000 block of the North Freeway. Both the man and child were declared dead at the scene. The case remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
