NBC says “Today” host Hoda Kotb has been absent from the show due to a family health matter.

Savannah Guthrie was forced to leave Tuesday's "Today" show broadcast after she tested positive for COVID-19.

Roker, who had been out since November, came back with his weather reports and signature humor.

Following a tumultuous few weeks, Al Roker will make his return to TODAY on Friday, Jan. 6.

"I've got a number of issues, but yeah, I feel good. I feel strong, and every day, I feel a little bit better," Roker said.

Hoda Kotb revealed on the "Today" show that Al Roker is back in the hospital due to "some complications." She spoke with Roker Wednesday night.

"He's resting and his doctors are keeping a close eye on him," "Today" co-host Hoda Kotb said of Roker.

"Today" show star Al Roker was released from the hospital where he'd been admitted for blood clots. He opened up about how thankful he was to be home with his family for Thanksgiving.

NEW YORK – Weatherman and morning TV co-host Al Roker has revealed that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and will be undergoing surgery to have his prostate removed. “It’s a good news-bad news kind of thing,” Roker said Friday on NBC's “Today.” “Good news is we caught it early. It began with a routine physical when his doctor discovered he had an elevated prostate-specific antigen in his bloodwork. Roker, a father of three, was by himself when he received the diagnosis. “I feel badly, because I didn’t tell Deborah to come with me,” he said.

Al Roker, NBCUniversal kicks off it's new Peacock streaming service on TODAY at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. NBCUniversal said Monday it's reducing commercial time and offering resources like more access to talent and remote production without fees to its advertising partners. The company wouldn't specify precisely how much commercial time was being reduced. Because of reduced commercial time, NBCU said it will devote more time to news divisions at NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC and Telemundo for updates and special programming.
