Texas DPS probes reports of police impersonator pulling over drivers on US-190

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating reports of a police impersonator believed to have conducted traffic stops in Walker, San Jacinto and Polk counties, officials said.

The suspect is accused of pulling over motorists while driving an unmarked black 2022 Jeep Gladiator on U.S. 190, DPS said.

Anyone who was stopped by a white male in civilian clothing driving a black Jeep Gladiator is asked to contact the Conroe DPS Criminal Investigations Division at (346) 260-9824 or email Luke.Williams@dps.texas.gov with information.
