Harris County court records show he posted a $75,000 bond this morning.
According to a search warrant affidavit, the investigation began last November after the 13-year-old student reported she had been sexually assaulted by a former paraprofessional later identified as Perez.
The student said Perez messaged her through Instagram and TikTok, and would send her nude pictures of himself, according to the affidavit.
Investigators said they reviewed messages exchanged between Perez and the student from June through July 2025.
Some of those messages include:
- “You can always share with me if you are feeling lonely [wink face]”
- “Are you ever home alone?”
Between August and September of 2025, the student also reported having sex with Perez at least five times inside of a classroom, the affidavit states.
The court document further states Perez discussed sexual acts, asked the student for nude photos, and referenced wanting to “run away” with her.
Authorities said the IP address was tied to the Katy home searched under the warrant. Employment records and Perez’s driver’s license also linked him to the address, according to investigators.
The warrant allowed investigators to seize computers, phones, cameras, internet records, digital storage devices, and materials tied to the alleged sexual abuse or exploitation of children.
The warrant was signed May 7 and executed May 8 at the home in Katy.
Katy ISD provided KPRC 2 with the following statement:
