The man accused of fatally shooting a Houston father who was trying to help recover his son’s stolen truck will remain behind bars while his case moves through the court system.

A newly obtained search warrant reveals disturbing allegations against a former Katy ISD employee accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old student and communicating with the child through social media.

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old man found dead inside his taco truck on Dyna Drive late Thursday night. The suspects, described as two men in ski masks, were seen fleeing in a white sedan, and the motive is unknown as robbery is not suspected.

The search for an escaped inmate from the Harris County Jail came to a close on Friday when authorities were able to locate and capture him at his mother’s house hours after his disappearance.
