Deputy hospitalized, truck driver detained after wreck involving HCSO vehicle, firetruck in Aldine Truck driver seen being escorted in handcuffs by responding officials

Emergency crews are responding to a major crash involving an 18-wheeler, a Harris County Sheriff’s Office vehicle, and an Aldine Fire Department firetruck.
The crash happened near the intersection of West Hardy Road and Aldine Bender Road.
Footage of the scene was shared with KPRC 2 by Grizzy’s Hood News.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was seen in handcuffs following the crash. It is unclear at this time whether any charges have been filed.
HCSO confirmed that a deputy was hospitalized as a result of the crash.
Authorities have not released details on what led up to the collision or how many people may have been injured.
Multiple emergency crews remain at the scene as officials work to investigate and clear the area.
