The parade will start at 4:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

It will start at the North Shore Ninth Grade Campus and travel to North Shore Senior High School.

The parade was originally planned for yesterday, but it was moved to Thursday because of weather, a school official confirmed.

The Mustangs finished with a 14-2 overall record in the 2025-26 season, including a first-place 6-1 record in district play.

The record marked the eighth-straight season that the Mustangs had 14 or more total wins.

North Shore took down Deer Park 49-14 in their playoff opener. In the second round, they beat Ridge Point, 31-7. The blowouts continued in Round 3, when the Mustangs beat Cypress Falls, 54-27. Then, they punched their ticket to the semifinals with a 46-29 win over Dickinson.

In the semis, North Shore beat Lake Travis, 28-6. This set up a matchup with Dallas-area heavyweight Duncanville in the championship.

This was a familiar opponent for the Mustangs, as the two Texas football powerhouses have met in three of the last four 6A D1 championship games. In their most recent championship matchup in the 2023-24 season, Duncanville won with a 49-33 victory.

This year, the Mustangs exacted their revenge with a 10-7 win in a gritty, defensive victory.
